History of SHW

SHW's roots go way back to January 1st 2002.............at about 1:30 in the morning. Plenske, Steve, Gerhardt and Massey were all stayin at Steve's house. Everybody was restless and it was hotter than hell in Steve's house. Former SHW Commissioner Peggy Clark liked it uncommonly warm. Having just watched WWE's Greatest Matches of 2001, the guys decided to wrestle since they had loved wrestling for many years. Thus the SFW was formed (Staunton Frontyard Wrestling. It would later become Staunton Hardcore Wrestling because people driving by thought they were seeing a real fight and called the cops. The "Authorities" told them to take it to the back.) Gerhardt and Massey formed a tag team that would eventually become the Sugar Brothers. The duo faced Steve(a.k.a. The Welder) in a handicap match. Aaron (Penskels) taped the match. For the main part of half an hour, Gerhardt(Twisty-Tie) and Massey(Masshole) laid the beatdown to Steve, but the much stronger Welder was able to manhandle the Sugar Brothers to get the first official SFW/SHW win. This would lead to what is now 3 full years of SHW wrestling, local television coverage, a slot on VH1's "Totally Obsessed", countless shows, tons of incredible matches, millions of memories, and a tight relationship between the SHW family. Watch out Midwest, we're not fucking around.
